GR-48 Series Complete Coupling

The GR-48 Series is a robust, torsionally flexible industrial coupling designed for reliable power transmission and high shock absorption. This complete set features two high-strength hubs and a precision-moulded polyurethane spider, engineered to protect connected machinery by dampening torsional vibrations and compensating for substantial shaft misalignments.

Superior Torque Handling: Rated for 525Nm (with Red 98 Sh-A insert), providing the heavy-duty capacity required for high-torque industrial drives and large-scale compressors.
98 Shore A Hardness Insert: The high-durometer red polyurethane spider offers exceptional resistance to oils, chemicals, and extreme temperatures (-30°C to +90°C continuous / up to 120°C peak).
Vibration Damping: The curved jaw design is specifically optimized to absorb operational shocks and resonance, significantly extending the service life of bearings and seals in high-mass drive-trains.
Durable Hub Construction: Typically supplied in high-quality cast iron (GJL) or steel, providing the structural mass and durability required for steady-state industrial power transmission.
Fail-Safe Operation: Designed as a “fail-safe” coupling; the jaws will remain interlocked to transmit torque even if the elastomer spider fails, preventing a complete loss of drive in critical industrial systems.
