2317.M.C3 Self Aligning Ball Bearing is a double row, self-retaining unit; due to the two rows of balls running on the same spherical outer raceway. Benefits include insensitivity to angular misalignments and having the lowest friction of all rolling bearings allowing it to run cooler even at high speeds. This bearing has a Machined brass cage, rolling element centred – denoted by the suffix M. C3 = this bearing has a Radial internal clearance greater than normal (to allow for heat expansion).
