TA Nitrile Oil Seals: Oil seals are used in a variety of different applications in which a rotating shaft is lubricated by oil or grease. TA type seals are particularly suitable for larger diameters or when the seal is fitted from behind. These seals feature a metal-cased outside diameter as well as an additional inner case which provides increased structural integrity when a more robust design is required. The TA types feature a sealing nitrile rubber lip on the inside diameter as well as an external dust lip. The TA types feature a garter spring which allows some give to prevent a build-up of friction. (Seals under 5mm width may not always feature a spring.)
