Arrow Engineering has large Milling capabilities, with our XYZ BRM60/100 CNC Bed Mill, we can slot, drill, thread and machine all sorts of materials (metals, plastic, polymers) in flat and round bar. Here we are slotting 4 non standard keyways in a 6 metre long, 100mm diameter shaft. Arrow Engineering also has large Gear Cutting, Turning, Plastic and Sheet Metal Fabrication capabilities, which is available 7 days a week.
About our XYZ BRM60/100 CNC Bed Mill
Our BRM60/100 is a large-capacity CNC bed mill with a 2.5m x 1.5m table, travel of 100″ in X, 60″ in Y, and 28″ in Z, and a spindle speed of up to 8,000rpm. This gives us the rigidity and reach to machine long, heavy workpieces in a single setup, including shafts, beams, and large fabricated components that smaller machines simply can’t accommodate.
What this means for your project
- Long workpieces in one setup – as shown in the video, we can slot multiple non-standard keyways into a 6 metre long, 100mm diameter shaft without repositioning, keeping tolerances tight along the full length.
- Wide material range – metals, plastics, and polymers in both flat and round bar stock.
- Multiple operations – slotting, drilling, threading, and general machining can all be carried out on the same machine.
- Custom and non-standard work – ideal for one-off or bespoke jobs that fall outside standard catalogue dimensions.
Backed by full in-house capability
The BRM60/100 works alongside our wider machine shop, which includes large Gear Cutting, Turning, Plastic and Sheet Metal Fabrication capabilities. Whether your job needs milling alone or a combination of processes through to a finished component, we can manage it all under one roof, with availability 7 days a week to keep your project moving.
