Rubber Sealed Deep Groove Ball Bearings with Snap Ring: A popular choice where the housing forms part of the machine frame. These bearings are manufactured with rubber seals inserted into the outer raceway and in contact with the inner race, providing protection against the ingress of moisture, dust, and other foreign matter while retaining the pre-filled grease inside the bearing.
The snap ring is made from spring steel and fits into an annular groove around the outside of the bearing, which is offset to one side, allowing secure axial location within the housing.
